Key-stills verse Storyboards:
Key-stills focus on the “Key” or major elements of a script. In this case, the client had a story but was required to have branding, development and legal departments sign off on elements in the video. Key-stills allowed them to circulate the information early on. With approval, the storyboards incorporate much more detail like transition, effects, and final artwork that is then used in production. I set up my files so that if there are changes while animating, like a change in the artwork on a mobile screen, it can be swapped out without disturbing everything else in the video.
